Isotyp 90 S, protective insulated
The Ersa ISOTYP 90 S is most commonly used in the area of telecommunication. The protective insulation of this iron makes the usual grounding conductor obsolete. This iron can be used on running telecommunication equipment without interfering with the system's operation stability. Each soldering iron is heated up with 10% overvoltage and tested on its electrical dielectric strength with 3500 V AC. Additionally, the heating element is tested to be waterproof.
