Ersa participates in TUM Connect at Campus Heilbronn

About 30 participants came to the kick-off event of the TUM Connect format at the Heilbronn Campus of the Technical University of Munich in September. This event was initiated by the TUM to promote the dialogue between medium-sized companies and experts from research in the field of digital transformation.
Practical presentations and field reports were the basis for open discussions on central topics such as leadership in the digital age, establishing an agile mindset within the organization or digital transformation management. In his 45-minute presentation, Ersa's General Sales Director Rainer Krauss highlighted a number of examples of how Ersa is continually adapting processes as part of the digitalization process and how it benefits from this in the long term.
Ersa's entire customer-customer process is supported by iCCS software, which enables the company to create offers independently of time and location and with great flexibility. In terms of production, the company is proud of its production hall, which was only inaugurated this year and complies with industry 4.0 standards. All production-relevant information is provided directly at the cycle workstation via a monitor, for example. The company's ability to react agilely to changing situations was demonstrated in the spring of 2020, when machine acceptance tests and demos planned on site in Wertheim were quickly carried out online via video conferences. Instead of seminars and training sessions, webinars were held for know-how transfer.
Ersa is also working continuously to improve processes and technological sustainability on the customer side as well. With the help of various tools, an increase in service quality, an improvement in process quality and 100% transparency in the customer's production process are to be achieved.
"Digital transformation is a hot topic and at the same time very challenging. The TUM Connect format is a great way to share experiences and get new ideas," summarizes Rainer Krauss.
