After three exciting days, Productronica India ended on 28 September with an optimistic mood. Around 600 exhibitors from 27 countries (30% more than at the last event) welcomed over 25,000 highly qualified visitors to the most important trade fair for the electronics industry in India and South Asia.

Ersa GmbH was also represented as the No.1 system supplier for Electronics Production Equipment – the exhibition team of India representative Bergen Associates Pvt. Ltd. introduced visitors to the latest Ersa technologies via large-format displays and video clips – whether manual hand soldering, stencil printing, rework and inspection or the highly flexible, modular high-end systems with wave, reflow or selective soldering technology. Ersa´s appearance was thus clearly different from that of its competitors, which the Ersa Bergen trade fair team was able to use in many cases as a direct entry into discussions with experts. This resulted in numerous new contacts and interesting discussions with existing customers. After India has been levying an import tax on assembled printed circuit boards since the beginning of the year, the incentives for local production have become much stronger and the local product has increased accordingly. A trend that will certainly continue in the near future. Accordingly, the managers at Bergen Associates Pvt. Ltd. and Ersa are looking to the future with confidence.
