Wertheim/Munich, 15.11.2021
With this year´s trade fair motto “Yesterday, Tomorrow and Beyond.”, Kurtz Ersa will be exhibiting on around 600 m2 at Productronica 2021, very impressively celebrating its 100th anniversary and its leading market position as the No.1 system supplier in the electronics industry. Since its foundation in 1921 – and also due to the first patent for an electric soldering iron – Ersa stands for successful innovation management, highest quality and direct proximity to the customer. “Based on current trends such as 5G communication, autonomous driving or electric mobility, Ersa develops sustainable overall solutions and offers individual concepts for the production of its global customers,” says Rainer Krauss, Head of Sales at Ersa. This offering is strengthened by Industry 4.0 solutions as well as optimized automation and logistics concepts.

At this year´s Productronica, Kurtz Ersa will showcase three world firsts to its visitors, once again confirming its leading position in electronics manufacturing:

  • HOTFLOW THREE – a new era in reflow

With the HOTFLOW THREE, Ersa is opening a new chapter in the long success story of its reflow technology, of which more than 5,000 HOTFLOW soldering systems have been installed worldwide in the last 20 years alone. An absolutely unique selling point is the SMART CONVECTIONPOWER UNIT, SCPU® for short. The exclusively developed motor and control unit ensures an optimized soldering profile and even better soldering results. Thanks to optimal fan control, individual zones can be regulated, enabling perfect adaptation to the requirements of material and solder paste. At the same time, the SCPU® only consumes the power that is actually needed – thus ensuring optimized use of the energy employed. The same applies to the cooling zones and the installed high-performance cooling unit.

  • VERSAFLOW ONE – THE ONE FOR EVERYONE

The VERSAFLOW ONE is the entry-level model into the world of Ersa VERSAFLOW inline selective soldering machines. Nevertheless, it offers the most popular or proven configuration options such as pin chain transport with automatic transport width adjustment, IR emitter at the bottom and a solder pot with electromagnetic pump. The VERSAFLOW ONE incorporates decades of know-how from the market leader in the form of proven hardware and intuitive software (ERSASOFT 5). Despite its compact dimensions and attractive price, the user need not compromise on quality and throughput with this machine. Set up, switch on, solder. Optimum selective soldering could not be faster or easier. And this also applies in times when delivery situations are not always easy.

  • i-CON TRACE – THE MISSING LINK

“100 years after the patent application of the first electric soldering iron by company founder Ernst Sachs, we have reinvented hand soldering for the digital age. The i-CON TRACE is the first fully networkable soldering station in the world and offers 100% connectivity right out of the box,” says Hans Bolg, head of the Tools & Rework business unit, proudly about his new station. Thanks to integrated WLAN, Bluetooth and a network card, it can be fully integrated even into MES-controlled production processes and makes the entire manual soldering process traceable and documentable. This means that tasks that previously could only be reworked by machine can now also be processed by hand. Each individual soldering process is recorded and documented electronically: PCB, component to be processed, soldering tip used, process temperature and soldering duration. With the i-CON TRACE soldering station as the “missing link”, the gap in terms of Industry 4.0 and traceability in industrial electronics production is closed. With the unique software concept and the intuitive and smart user interface, the manual soldering process is safer than ever before.

“As a solution provider for sustainable production processes and market leader in all aspects of soldering, we use and shape the trends of today and tomorrow. With our trade fair motto ‘Yesterday, Tomorrow and Beyond.’ we thereby take the pulse of our customers exactly,” emphasizes Ralph Knecht, Managing Director of Ersa GmbH, who will move to Kurtz Ersa Holding as CEO at the end of the year. “Yesterday – that´s 100 years of Ersa – a long tradition of which we are all proud and which has made us the market leader. Ersa has mastered many challenges and has always emerged stronger. We learn from the past and build bridges into the future. Always together with our customers in a relationship based on partnership. Tomorrow – our view is consistently directed forward: Ersa has an excellent competitive position today and tomorrow, is a technological leader and always aims to be a benchmark for others. The foundation is formed by our employees with their knowledge and team spirit. Beyond: Ersa is successfully shaping important trends – such as e-mobility, 5G communication, connectivity – and offers the right product innovations from the area of machines, tools and software for global and sustainable growth. This demonstrates our excellent market position in the industry. The entire Ersa team, Dr. Michael Fischer, my successor as Managing Director at Ersa, and I are looking forward to an exciting trade fair and, above all, to interesting customer discussions,” says Ralph Knecht.
