Heater Plate

Heater plates are required whenever board assemblies requiring large amounts of thermal energy are to be solder by hand or when performing repairs on solder joints. Complete assemblies with possibly sensitive components can be preheated, thereby reducing the amount of heat required at the solder joint which has to be transmitted by the solder iron tip. This makes for a more gentle process, since the heat loss at the solder joint to the surrounding board is substantially reduced. Heater plates are also suitable for melting paste during evaluations of different solder pastes.
