Infrared heaters
Infrared heaters belong to the group of radiant emitters. A medium to carry the thermal energy given off by infrared heaters is not required, as heating another body is effected by it absorbing the thermal energy given off by the IR emitter. A distinction is made between short-, medium- and long wave IR radiation. Short wave IR is in the range of visible light. Short wave emitters excel through a fast inertia less response characteristic when power is supplied.
