Laser Soldering
Laser soldering is a special, contactless soldering process with a very high energy density which can be focused on very small geometries. This puts very little thermal stress on the work piece, and solder joints with very little distortion can be formed. Modern laser source on the base of semiconductor diodes are low cost and offer the possibility to control the laser power with the electric current. Thus, specific temperature/time processes at the solder joints can be realized.
