Miniwave Soldering
Miniwave soldering is a selective soldering process, in which a small, flowing solder wave selectively solders leaded components on a populated electronic assembly. It is miniaturized variation of the well-known wave soldering process. It consists of the same process steps (fluxing, preheating, soldering), whereby fluxing and soldering are restricted to one component at a time. In opposition to hand soldering, selective soldering has the immense benefit of an absolute reproducibility and an automatic process control. Because of these features, selective soldering has a huge potential in raising the overall quality of the soldering process.
