Number of Zones
The number of zones in a reflow oven is dependent on the demands placed on the process by the board assembly. The more zones, the more subtle can be the adjustment of the temperature / time progression. This is particularly important when processing lead-free solders or complex board assemblies with areas of different thermal requirements.
