Organic Electronics
It is also referred to as polymer or plastic electronics. This technology is based on polymers, whose characteristics could be insulating, conductive or semi-conductive. A distinctive feature of this technology is the fact, that electronic circuits can be generated using standard printing equipment (even on ink-jet printers). Using the printing technology, polymers of different characteristics are structured and combined in such manner, that simple electronic circuits result. Practical applications are OLED displays, organic solar cells which, for example, can be rolled up, RFID labels, etc. As the most simple substrate, paper could be used.
