Phenolic Resins Laminated Paper
Phenolic resins laminated paper is a high-strength thermosetting material. It is also referred to as Pertinax. It is of low weight, is mechanically strong and possesses good electric insulation characteristics. Phenolic resins laminated paper is on the market under the name FR1+2, and is one of the base materials for the manufacture of printed circuit boards. During heating, moisture and volatile matters are being released, so that they are today replaced by other compounds that do not possess these disadvantages, for example epoxy resins.
