Printing offset

A printing offset is a defect during printing. The printed paste deposits do not come to rest exactly on the nominal location, but deviate from it. Causes for this could be the wrong orientation of the stencil to the board. Common defects on account of printing offsets are shorts and opens after reflow soldering.
