Rework Soldering
During rework soldering, defective components are replaced or flawed solder joints are reworked. Rework soldering is a task that is being performed after an assembly has passed an automated manufacturing process, and inspection shows that the product is not functioning as intended. Today, there are industrial applications where a manual intervention to repair a board is no longer being permitted. These usually are assemblies that have to perform to a high safety level, on whose performance, for example, human life is dependent.
