Selective Soldering
Selective soldering is the term used for soldering individual through hole components into a printed circuit board. The component range includes component with low temperature tolerance or components that are too large in size to be handled in the reflow process. Common selective soldering process are miniwave-, laser-, light-, induction- and solder robots with solder irons. When selecting any of the processes, all intended applications need to be considered – a general favorite does not exist.
