Sheathed Thermocouple
These thermocouples are best suited to capture high temperatures. They are predominantly used in industry and machine building because of their high mechanical strength. Since they are sheathed in flame-resistant magnesium oxide, they withstand high pressures, vibration and shocks. In the solder technology, they are used to record time/temperature processes for boards in soldering systems. When selecting these thermocouples, care must be taken to choose units with a low heat capacity, so that the measuring results are not compromised.
