Soldering Robot

Soldering robots automate the Manual soldering process. A soldering iron mounted to the end effector of the robot is moved to previously programmed positions, where it will solder the joint. The required solder in the form of commercially available solder wire is being fed via solder wire feeders to the joint to be made. A great challenge experienced with this soldering process is the need - in order to transfer the heat - for a mechanical contact between the soldering tips and the solder joints. Because of various tolerances introduced, the heat transfer can be seriously affected.
